The beds of this period had a similar construction which consists of a stuffed mattress and pillow, and a wooden frame with a rope web to adjust firmness of the bed. The ropes form a grid through the frame and are tightened by a wooden tool (on the bed) to increase the tension of the ropes. You can see a handwoven basket and a ceremonial mask sitting on top of the storage trunk which held linen and blankets.
