Upon entering the Vann Tavern, you get a glimpse of probably one of the first drive thru windows in the country. The customer would come up to the tavern, knock on the window for service, place an order for supplies, and be helped by the cashier behind the desk.
The price list is from the period and it lists:

- Whisky: $1.60 a gallon / 12-1/4¢ a shot
- Salt: $4 a bushel
- Tobacco: 50¢ per pound
- Coffee: 2-1/2 pounds for $1
- Flour: 12¢ per pound
- Sugar: 5 pounds for $1
