A portrait of Sequoyah, the inventor of the Cherokee Alphabet and Syllabary. This is an impressive accomplishment because he could neither read nor write. The Cherokee Language is actually much more efficient than English. The portrait in the Print Shop was painted on wood, and has since faded over time.
