Land Lottery lots
When the land lottery was started, the tickets were drawn at random. The numbers were linked to specific lots of land, and the winner got to keep whatever structures existed on that land. Some drew the number for swamp land, some drew the lots to entire farms. This photo is an example of two land lots: #124 & #125. The winner would get the land, fruit trees, gardens, homes, and any other structures on that lot of land.
